Why do you date?

I was thinking about it today, and I kind of wonder, why do people date. Really, this may seem like a dumb question, but it varies. I don't mean dating for marraige, but younger ages. I'm sixteen so i'm not going to marry my current girlfriend, (as much as i love her now) and so that's NOT why i date.





I could see a guy saying, i date to get p00n. Or a girl might say I date so i don't seem like a loser.





personally i date for two reasons.


It makes me feel good about myself


I enjoy making others feel good about themselves





See, marraige isn't a goal for me, at the moment, but it is for some other people (obviously)





i know it seems like a dumb question now, but dig a little deeper.





My friend said and i quote "sometimes i date just for the sake of having a girlfriend."





i thought that was kind of sad, because i use it to connect with others and i'd hate to use people.

Why do you date?
i think i agree with you. it's because i like the person NOW %26amp; it makes me feel good about myself %26amp; them feel good about themselves.





although mostly for me if i date someone it's because i really really like him %26amp; enjoy being with him.
