Due date help (its long)?

Help me figure out my Due date!





My LMP was Sept 13th.





I kept track of my periods for exactly one year after getting off of Birth Control Pills. My period ranges from 29d to 37d with an average


of 32d. The 29 and 37 are really exceptions, it is usually right around the 32 day mark.





I tested positive on a pregnancy test by Oct 14th (pee test). Maybe earlier but i am 100% certain that by 14th i was pregnant.


I recall testing b4 my period, but lets just say i tested it on the day of my period which would have been 14th.





According to this i get a due date of June 23rd 08, Agree/ Disagree?





Now i have an ultrasound in the ER (i dont have insurance until after january so for now we are just ER-ing )


The ultrasound done on 11/18/2007 , states i am at 7w +/- 2d with a due date of July 6th 08.





So it is off by 13 days. Isnt that way too much? I mean what i dont understand i guess, is as of today I would be either





June 23rd: 83 days pregnant


July 6th : 70 days pregnant





If we count back from today 12/8 83 days i get 9/16


If we count back from today 12/8 70 days i get 9/29





9/16 is closer to my LMP and would make sence to count my pregnancy as 83 days along.


9/29 could be conception date, then my pregnancy would be 70 days along, but still count as roughly 84 from LMP, right?


So this makes no sence to me because then the due date on that ultrasound is reading at 38w not 40w





I just want a due date, everyone has one, and i feel somehow jipped.

Having "one" due date is pretty uncommon...I have 2 different dates... 1 from LMP one from ultrasound. They are a week apart. It doesn't make a huge difference.... the baby will come when it's ready. Pick one and stick to it so you can keep track of where you are up to... you might even like to pick a date right in the middle
Reply:you are prob due on the 18th June 2008, which means you concieved on the 26th of september.

Reply:Ultrasounds can be WAY off when it comes to dates. Once you get in to see a doctor they will do another one to check dates. They may change your due date, or give you a brand new one.





FYI-I had an u/s with my daughter during labor cuz she was premature. They told me she was measuring 14 inches and about 3 pounds. She was born at 32 weeks(absolutely sure on the dates) weighing 4lbs 11oz and 17 inches long. So they arent an exact science! LOL
Reply:On sono im due March 11th but when you calculate from LMP im due March 15th, most doctors go by LMP so calculate 10 months from the first day of your last period and thats your due date :)

End of 2nd trimester (27 weeks): Thursday, March 20, 2008


Estimated Due Date: June 19, 2008


You are 12 weeks, 2 days pregnant


A due date is just an estimate just like the conception date is. Remember sperm can live inside of you for up to 7 days so even though you had sex on a monday you could not have gotten pregnant until friday.

Reply:I'm gonna say around June 5th(by the ultra sound) June 21(by you LMP). Your first estimate of due date is never accurate and when you start seeing an ob/gyn, they will be able to tell you exactly to the T how far along you are and when you're due date might actually be.


It doesn't necessarily go by how long your cycles are. If you go look on a calendar back to your LMP date, it's exactly 12w3d today Sunday or by your ultrasound 10w3d. And on 11/18 you 'actually' were 7 weeks, that's going by conception, that is more accurate than the wheel. Going from you LMP you were 9 weeks on 11/18 take two weeks from that for conception and there you have it! Go by that one!





ADD: Oh and the original pregnancy wheel, the one that doctors use to go from you LMP goes by 30 cycle

My doctor told me i was 8 weeks and according to the ultrasound i was 5 wks and 5 days .. the ultrasound is accurate give or take 5 days . you may have to wait until the next ultrasound to find out for sure as it will match up the dates you have now..
