The date and time of my court date was crossed out on the citation, what does that mean?

i got arrested for being out past curfew, and they game me the citation thing that night, but the court date said to be announced.





i got a notice in the mail telling me that my court date is being changed form to be announced to a date and time written





however, the date and time written on the notice is crossed out





what does that mean?

It means you need to call the court clerk's office and find out what is going on. You don't want to just guess ... if you miss your court date they will put an warrant out for your arrest. That means when the police do come into contact with you you are going directly to jail because of the arrest warrant.





You don't want to screw around with court dates, even if it is something as trivial as a speeding ticket or a curfew violation.
Reply:The crossing out of the date and time of hearing means that it will be rescheduled.
Reply:It means that you need to call the clerk's office and find out what's going on. If you miss the court date, you could find yourself being arrested for contempt. It won't stick, as long as you have the notice to show.
