a couple weeks ago me and about 7 friends got pulled over with alcohol in the car, we were all given MIP's, but everyone has received their court date each of which is on the same day, including someone in the car who lives with me. I have not yet received my court date, and when my mom called in to ask about the court date, they told her i had to write some kind of letter in order to get my court date, if i dont write a letter will they not give me a court date, and if i dont have a court date are they going to put out a warrant for me for not showing up?

Who did your mother talk to? What is their official capacity? It sounds odd that they require you to write them to get a court date, but will issue a warrant if you fail to show up.
It could be that you must contact the Clerk of the Court's office yourself. Have your ticket in front of you when you call and get the following information: Date, time, courtroom number, and the name of the judge. If you do not have a lawyer, contact legal aid in the county where the ticket was issued.
