What woman would date a guy who’s asexual?

Hi, I’m a guy who’s 25 years old still a virgin and asexual. For those of you who don’t know what an asexual is, it’s someone who has, never had, or desired the need to have sex. The thing is, although I’m happy with the no sex lifestyle I always wonder what kind of woman is going to date a guy like me? How do I go about telling women that I date, that I’m asexual? How are they likely going to react to this news? It’s just, I really don’t want to live a life alone because I’m asexual. For this reason it has made it difficult to take a chance of dating women, to find out if they would be ok in being with an asexual. Which is probably the reason I don’t bother with the whole dating thing. What with the whole world obsessed with sex. Just tell me honestly, am I doomed to a life alone because I’m asexual? I mean how likely are my chances of finding an asexual woman?





Also, what are my chances of me dating a woman who is ok with dating with an asexual, but cheats on me because she can’t live without both me and sex in her life? I know I’m overreacting on that part. But it’s something I will worry about if I’m even lucky enough to find a woman who’s ok with it. The other problem I will have, is the guilt of denying her things like sex and children because I’m asexual. I mean part of me, if she ever did have an affair would be forgiving because of the guilt I would probably have in denying her the things she needs.

Society sends a lot of conflicting messages to us asexual guys. We are supposed to constantly horny because we are guys, but we are not. Regular guys think of sex every 12 seconds or something like that. I haven't thought about it all day until I read your question.





You can check out okcupid. Its a really good dating site that is 100% free. Don't waste money on the pay sites. But do you really want that? Do you want a lover or do you want a roommate/friend?





Unless you are fortunate enough to find an asexual girl, you will either have to do without or make compromises. I suggest that you do not make the mistake of lying to her. You can also ask your Dr. for some testosterone shots. It will artificially cause you to be interested in sex.

Reply:i heard about this and there is a like online community network thing where you can meet asexual people i dont remember what its called but i saw it on tv once and they were talkin about it..i do think that people get caught up in the whole sex thing when it is really overrated but im sure you will find someone who wont get caught up in the lack of sex in your relationship

Reply:well ok, so you have no desire for sex, but its not like its against ur religion to do it is it? Just lie there and let her bounce on top of you, then u WILL get a woman. You may not have a desire to have sex, but im sure you dont have a desire to clean a toilet but it has to be done, like sex may have to be 'done' to satisfy ur wench.

Reply:Personally, I'm not sure whether I would date an asexual or not. Sex is definately not the most important aspect to a relationship, but it is an amazing, wonderful, undescribable thing.





If I cared about the guy enough, I would be with him though.





One thing- have you considered just trying it? like, once? Just so you really know that it's something you have absolutely no desire to do. How can you know you don't want to do something if you've never tried it?





I'm not saying that asexuality is wrong at all, it's great if it's the way you want to be. But at least give yourself a chance to make an educated decision. :)

Reply:I would date a guy who is asexual. But I'm not sure if I am asexual or not. I have not had any close relationship with anyone yet in my life and I am much older than you are. I have never desired sex, but I dont know if that would change if I were to get close to someone I care about or not. But I do understand and agree with you that I dont want to be alone my whole life, I would like a companion and I think love is much more than just the act of sex. It's someone to talk to and discuss beliefs with, to come home and have someone there who loves you and just wants to cuddle and watch tv, have fun with each other and be there when there are problems to cheer you up, etc. I think your chances of finding an asexual woman are good, just look in the right places, like you are doing now, I think that there are groups online. Reply:i doubt theres many women who would go out with a bloke that wont sleep with them ever (not if its to be a long term thing).....how do you know you dont like sex or be interested in it if you've never even tried it?
