Post first date I feel like he is my brother or friend. What is wrong with me?

Post first date he feels like my brother. What is wrong with me?

I am not very experienced with dates, but this guy, that go to the same university as i do, and I seem interested in each other. So I asked him out today and we had a coffee and then a dinner. We had about five and a half hours together. The conversation started with the weather, then some personal interest stuff, some politics and some fun things like hobies. I was a bit more excited before the date, but after it, I feel like he is more of a friend/brother than anything else. This was the first time I had a one on one conversation with him. So far I have met him 5 times but with presence of other friends. My current feelings are worrying me. Is it normal? What should I be feeling after the date if I want to be a potential girlfriend? Why is this happening while I was expecting increased emotions for him after the date?

Confused.

Thanks in advance.

This sounds mildly incestual... but I'd say go for it anyways.
Reply:The best love is love based on friendship.
Reply:I don't think this is such a bad thing. You don't need a "love at first date" relationship. Feeling so close (like a brother or friend) may be a good thing. You feel comfortable with him. and that's important. Of course that isn't all you have to have to have a good relationship. But....give yourself time to feel something more. don't expect love right away. With my boyfriend....it took me....I think three weeks....before I actually was falling in love with him. There's nothing wrong with casually dating. If you like this guy....even just to talk to. ..spend more time with him...if it's meant to be you'll start feeling it soon. give it time.
