Is it bad that I told a guy I would hang out with him, dinner and a movie, so i think its a date... when im leaning towards just seeing him as a friend. I wanted to go on the date to see if I like him or see if i just want to be friends but if he were to ask me to be his girlfriend and I say I just want to be friends does it seem like i was leadiing him on by saying yes to a date?
Also, I have never been on a date, what do I do if there is a period of silence?

you should tell him ahead of time that you just wanna be friends, because he may ask you to be his girlfriend at the end of the date and that would be really awkward so if you tell him before the date then you wont have to worry about that
