Louis Vuitton - Date Code is later than purchase date???!!!!!?

I bought my speedy 25' from a LV boutique in Sydney in mid-Feb 2007. The bag comes with this Date Code : SP0037. From what I have read from the internet, SP refers to the country of production of that bag ie. France -- (btw, the zipper's tongue is embossed with 'made in france' - so the country code matches the production country). 0037 refers to production date of the bag ie. Mar 2007.





I'm very very confused now........ How could the production date of Mar 2007 is later than my purchase date of mid-Feb 2007??? Quenstion: Fake or Authentic LV?? but I bought it from a LV boutique!!!!! helpppppppppp

Reply:if you really bought it from an LV store, you should never doubt its authenticity. i don't know where you got the info about the serial number representing where and when it was manufactured. i am not quite aware of that. i checked my bags and the codes didn't seem to represent dates. to have peace of mind why not go back to the store or any other store near you and talk to their sales people? they are really nice.
Reply:You never know; but you do have the right to question this. go to a local lv store and let them explain the codes and authenticity. don't mention your suspensions--trust me, they will try to justify the differences--just tell them that you would like an explanation of the codes. with fraudulous activities being so common now, it's good to ask questions and be aware. good luck!
