What is "DATE" means?

I have problem to understand the meaning of "DATE"





Lets say i wanna date this gal.





Is that mean i wanna hang out with this gal?





Or is that intend to mean like i have interest to get into relationship with her, thats why i date her?





If i wanna ask a gal out, can i ask her like "can we date this friday night", or "can we date sometime" ?





Because i dont want to embarress myself for using the word wrongly.

What is "DATE" means?
Date does not mean relationship. I don't know why so many people think that. You can date more than one person at a time. There's nothing wrong with that as long as you aren't in a relationship. All a date means is you went out with someone once. If you want another date or to be exclusive then you go from there but a date is just a date. There is no commitment.

now a good way to ask her is simply saying, "do you want to go on a date this friday.





or straight to the point. " Lets hang out on friday and catch a movie or something"
