Help? My date was angry because I texted the whole date! Was I wrong?

It was with my buddy. He wa giving me a play by pay on how the game went. I told her I didn't want to go on the date in the first place. She is ugly, but offered to pay for the date. The pistons lost. I think it was beacause I was out on a date with a dog. So, was I wrong in texting during date I told her I didnt want to be on in the first place?

Help? My date was angry because I texted the whole date! Was I wrong?
I think two important lessons were learned.

I would be pist because it would make me feel like, "Okay... you asked me out and I took the time to dress up, put on my make up, do my hair, paint my nails, and use my expensive perfume which all takes a long time and now you are texting someone? What a waste of my time. Do you even like me or just a jerk?"

She obviously likes you a lot and hurt her by spending the time your were supposed to be spending with her texting.
