Pregnancy and due date by ultrasound?

According to my midwife i am going to be 35 weeks this week. My first ultrasound on August 16th said my baby was 8 weeks and 5 days, My second ultra sound around 20 weeks put my due date at March 18th. How accurate are the due dates by ultra sound? I know my exact date of conception but honestly i can't even go there because it makes me not as far along and I'm about to freak out as it is I feel like I've been pregnant forever. so as of right now my due date is at about March 18th. My conception date was July 8th. How far along am I? I am so lost i keep coming up with different numbers. I guess I really want to know how accurate the ultra sound date is. (march 18th) thank you for your help, I'm going crazy waiting for this baby to be born i feel like i can barely move !! and i don't see how my stomach can stretch much more I'll break!

due dates are pretty correct on the ultrasound. if you think you cant stretch anymore then just wait till your this far, im 39 weeks friday and im so streched i feel like im gonna burst, and walking is getting pretty hard to.

Reply:ultrasounds give you an estimated due date by your baby's measurements so if your baby measure smaller or larger than 'normal' it will throw off your due date. thats why its best to go by the first day of your last period and give or take 2 weeks and as long as the ultrasound due date falls in there you are on track.
