My best friend somehow always ends up paying for herself. She is broke (a poor Walmart employee saving up for college). She's had to end several relationships b/c they guy kept taking her to restaurants %26amp; she finally couldn't afford it anymore.

How did it become common for the woman to pay? I have asked all my guy friends %26amp; they all think if a guy never pays for the girl, you are just two friends hanging out %26amp; it isn't a date. I know I'd feel quite comfortable explaining that I'd rather go out Tues b/c I like to have my date nights on Fri/Sat. I'd also discuss w/ a guy friend restaurant choices %26amp; suggesting much cheaper alternatives.

Women's lib people say you should offer to split it. Being from the south, the guys would blow you off %26amp; that would be it. They would pay. But on a first date, if the guy doesn't pay--is it a date? B/c for years that was my way of determining if he was into me. A casual wanna grab food? He just hungry, I paid for mine. A date he paid. Thoughts anyone?

I think any guy who doesn't at least offer to pay is a pig, and doesn't deserve your friend anyway.

My husband was raised in Lubbock, TX and when we went on our first date, he asked me out for drinks. We met at a nice lounge and I was a bit early. He ended up being 20 minutes late and i'll never let him forget it. lol. Anyway, since i was already there I ordered a glass of wine and gave my credit card to open a tab. When he arrived, I told him I had a tab at the bar and we went to go sit down. He went to the bar and opened a tab under his own name and asked them to close mine out. Even when I insisted he put a drink on my tab, he refused. He bought dinner every time we went out and never let me pay for anything, although of course I offered.

Since then, he has explained something to me. He can always get a feel for a girl's intentions. If the girl has honest intentions and seems truly interested in him, he will always pay because that's how he was raised. If he thinks she is full of it, like if a girl at a bar says flirtatiously, "Will you buy me a drink?" or "I don't have a drink..." he won't buy one for her.

Reply:way i saw it first DATE who ever asked paid (so if the girl asked she should be prepared to cover the whole cost). After that i don't think its right to expect either person to pay the full bill (birthdays, anniversaries and extra special dates then guy (unless its his b-day) should pay), the girl should offer to pay for hers and know that she may have to. but as a southern girl you get use to the guys turning down the women's offer to pay. Sigh i miss those southern values.

Also tell your friend if she really likes the guys then she needs to tell them that she can't afford to pay if they go out a lot and to find cheaper/free things to enjoy together.
Reply:Ok here's my philosophy. Anyone can pay for a date. Now on the first date I believe it should be the person that did the asking. On the second date either. When and if the two become an item at that point I think a nice system of switching off works well, one pays one week, the other the following; that also works great if they get paid on opposite weeks from each other.

Only after they are engaged do I think actual splitting should occur.

Reply:On a first date, it is acceptable for each person to pay for their own meal, but most guys want to "rack up a few points" by paying for the meal. AFter the first date, the couple can take turns paying. It is my opinion, however, that the guy should pay for meals.

Reply:I grew up in the northern panhandle of WV, 2 miles from Ohio, less than 20 miles from Pennsylvania, so the culture where I grew up was much more like OH and PA than the foothills of WV.

Anyway, I always believed and was taught that whoever asked for the date was the one who payed... For instance if the girl initiated the date, then she payed for both parties. If the guy asked the girl out, then he payed.

I personally was not a girl who was comfortable asking guys out and I did generally offer to pay, at least occasionally, and ever 3 or 4 dates I would always plan a date on my own and make sure everything was payed for. Being traditional doesn't mean you have to be a user.

But in your friend's situation, maybe these guys see her in a plantonic way, or maybe she is just too insistant on paying for herself. I would not continue to date someone who constantly went dutch.

Third date rule…Part 2

Okay on the third date rule to wait for sex. I wasn’t getting the answers I wanted.

Here is some facts:

The guy is my Twin (brothers) best friend and has been for years.

He is nice and complements me and treats me nicely complete gentleman, someone my twin and best friend likes and trust.

Even though we’ll be going on date # 3 I have been talking to him and getting to know him for over a month.

I am emotionally available. I am attracted to him.

My worry is even though I have gotten to know him is sex too early by the third date, not that I am fallowing a rule-guide here. I feel ready, but from a guys point of view what would that say about the girl. I am worried about getting burned. Thinking I’m something I am not, would that seem too long or too short for a guy wanting a relationship.

This is someone my twin set me up with, so i know he is an over all good guy, but what woulda guy think about that? Too early? I wanted a guys opinion.

I would wait. I know you two have been talking for a month, but if you want your relationship to be based off more than sex just wait a little longer. The last thing I want is for you to get burned. I know you both probably want to do, but trust me, a guy's view of a girl changes dramatically after sex. Guys are all about the thrill of the hunt and once he has sex with you, the hunt is over. If you wait and continue to build your relationship, you'll see a couple things.

1. If he is still interested in you for you and not for what you can offer sexually.

2. When a guy invests more time into the girl he is going to have sex with, he stops seeing them as a thing to pleasure him, but instead he sees them as a person with emotions. At this point he won't burn you after sex.

3. The sex you will eventually have will be so much better, because it is not based only on lust and physical sensations, but something deeper something more. Like they say, the good things come to those who wait.

Does the conceiving date determin the due date?

Me and my husband are planning on a baby, Our son's birthday is in September, so he doesn't want the baby to also be born in september. So I was wondering if the due date has to do with the date I conceived or if it the due date is based on the date after my period ends that the new ummm blood to form a baby forms? I know not too techniqual of a term I forgot what thats called

It sounds like you need to wait until February or later to get pregnant.

Should I pay mortgage on "late charge date" or on "due date"?

My mortgage due date is 1st of the month, and late charge date is 15 days later. As long as I pay the mortgage on/before 15th of the month, there will be no late charge. However, I have the following questions:

1) If I pay mortgage on 15th instead of on 1st, will the payoff amount different 5 years later? In other words, is the payment applied on the actual date or a certain set date (e.g.15th), and how is the balance amount calculated?

2) If I pay mortgage on 15th instead of on 1st, will it affect my credit score? I know if I pay after 1st, it's late.

3) In property tax case, there is due date and there is delinquency date. It's best to pay on delinquency date rather than due date. But is the mortgage case similar? Maybe not.

Reply:The problem with leaving your payment until the 15th is that if there is any delay or screw up, it will show as a late payment. And yes, interest continues to accrue during the 15 days you wait to make the payment. If you can, set up an autopay with your mortgagor so that the payments are made on the first of every month without fail. Then just be sure the money is in the bank!! Good Luck!!
Reply:I've always paid my mortgage, so the payment will be there by the 15th of the month. It makes no difference if you pay it on the 1st or the 14th. If you pay it on the 1st, the mortgage company has 14 days to invest your money and make more. It's never affected my credit or credit score.

Pay your property tax early. for the same reason as noted above.

I posted this last night but didnt get much of a response...

Girl I met through a friend at a party over Thanksgiving break, we hit it off real well, and she IM's me, calls etc... Goes to school about 2 hours away but I want to plan a date over Christmas break, and possibly hanging out... I know I may be jumping the gun, but she'll be home.. at her parents... Being a first date, should I go up to her front door, blah blah blah and meet the parents... or is that reserved for later dates when its more serious? I just feel like when/if we get more serious I'd meet the parents, not really first date... Any thoughts ladies? and perhaps guys have any advice

Reply:I always meet her parents on the first date. I think that by going ahead and meeting them you're (in their eyes) letting them know that she's in a good hands. I usually just meet them because I want them to know me because they've met me, and not just guess at my personality based off of stories she may have told.

Now actually hanging out with her parents and spending "quality time" with them is something that goes on later, but yes, I'd at least introduce myself as a respectable young man first.

I am a little confused with this new dating situation I'm in right now.

I went on a date to a comedy club and Starbucks with a woman. We hugged goodbye as she went into a cab.

The next morning, I text messaged her, "I had a great time. I hope you got home alright". Later on that day she texted me back, "Had a good time as well. I got home safe. Thanks for asking."

On Tuesday night, without coercing or pushing for her to write me an E-mail, she sent me this:

"Hi there,

Just wanted to shoot you a quick note to say thanks for sunday night - i had a great time and enjoyed meeting you - hope we can do it again soon

have a great night!"

I was happy, as this seemed like she was interested in me and wanted to go out on another date.

Yesterday afternoon, I E-mailed her and said we should go on a date this Saturday, and indicated where we should go. As of 12 p.m. today, she has not E-m me back. What do you think this all means? Is she not trying to be desperate, by waiting to mail me?

I would phone her up! If her no. is not available I would e-mail her again, asking her if she received your mail, and if yes if there is a problem with the date or place you suggested. If she won't come back I would stop mailing......if she is interested she will reply

Microsoft Access question: date fields?

I am a teacher, constructing a database for a hypothetical video store. I would like to create two fields in the Rentals table: one for rental date, and one for due date. Rental date would be "today", and Due date would be 7 days later (7 days plus the rental date). How can I do this? Thank you!

Microsoft Access question: date fields?
In your INSERT statement, you can use some functions like this:

INSERT INTO test (date1, date2)

SELECT Date(), dateAdd("d",7,Date())

That will add a record with the first date as the current date and the second record with the date 7 days later. You can make that an Append type query and pass parameters to it for additional data.

Optionally, you can use the Date and DateAdd functions as the default values in the two columns of your table - then when a rental record is added, the dates would be automatically filled in.

Stamped date on Fresh Eggs?

- I went into a shop yesterday and there were lots of eggs on the open cartons with a stamped date on the egg of 23 March. The shopkeeper did not know what the date meant but assured me that it was NOT the sell by date. I have also found out that eggs keep about a month after the sell by date.

According to DEFRA the date stamped on the eggs is the laying date, or the first working day after laying. This should be carried out either at the farm or the packing station.

The best before date should be preceded by BB
Reply:On all the eggs I have bought (stamped) the date is preceded by BB (best before) NEVER the date it was layed!

Either that, or they have come from the future!!

I urge you to go in any shop/supermarket and look at the date on the stamped eggs. Report It

Reply:In Illinois this is the use by date. But our cartons would clearly say Exp 3/23/07. I can not believe he said he didn't know what it was. I would think twice before shopping someplace where people are so clueless.
Reply:Nearly everything now has to have a use by or best before date. Best before means this product is at its prime before this date but can be consumed after as long as it smells and looks normal. Use by normally on meats and high risk foods. Are again advising that consumption after use by date can be a risk. such as chicken and food poisoning.

If you work with food in the UK you must have a food hygiene certificate. This teaches you the basic of food hygiene and things like use by and best before date.

Reply:I'm sure this is a use by date. If it's got a lion stamp then it's salmonella free and should last 3 weeks after they're bought, but that date sounds dodgy. Next time you go to another shop look at the date stamps and compare them.

If you go into any shop selling eggs, how can the date stamped by "Lion" on them be the date of laying??? If I now go into say, Waitrose and the eggs have April 15th on them, it means "use by" not the day the hen dropped it!! Unless it layed a year ago on April 15th - then you would have a really, really stale egg.

This is as in lots of produce, a guidline. Many cartons of milk I have bought have lasted well over the "use by" date. It just safeguards the consumer from eating something which could harm them if consumed after a certain time. As already mentioned it is sometimes 'over protective' in our nanny state here in the UK.

Depends. What if he's like 20? You're not the only one who can lie about your age. It could be very dangerous.

Plus, there's a big difference between 15 and 17, let alone if he's older. If you keep it safe and just meet somewhere w/o going in his car, etc, it might be ok, but I'd be very very careful, even if you're sure he's not a predator.

You can always go on a 2nd date if you liked the first date.

Reply:I would go on the date, but I would fess up to him first. You shouldn't play anyone like that. Tell him the truth, and see if he still wants to go on the date with you. If he doesn't then the relationship never would have worked out to begin with. I know this is only to test the waters...to see what its like to date an older guy... but you should start off right by telling the truth. So I went to the club, and met this girl. We started talking, and hitted it off really well. Exchanged #s and all that. Then I called her the next day for coffee (had dinner %26amp; drinks instead), ending the date making out in her apt. Great date, things went very well. Texted her the day after the date to tell her I had a great time, and told her we should do it again. As I didn't get a reply, I called her later than evening (no reply either) and just left a voicemail.

2 days later I receive a text from her saying that shes sorry she didn't reply sooner, but that she needs her space, and that she'll call me later. What does that mean? Usually when I hit it off this well on a first date the girl loves to chat about it the next day..

She might have a boyfriend that she forgot to tell you about. Or, possibly she thought you moved way too fast and you scared her off. Trust me, if she was totally into you, she'd be calling you back. ok, here's my situation. i had a relationship end about six months ago with somebody i really loved. i think i might be ready to date again, but i'm not really sure. i'm afraid that if i start dating again I'm going to have my ex in the back of my mind. do you think it is normal for me to feel this way? is a first date after a serious relationship difficult? i know that eventually i have to get out there and start dating, because i want to find that special someone, but i'm just afraid of what i might feel.

First date?
It's normal to think about your old relationships during a first date with a new person but don't let that affect your night. You might have a tendency to compare your date with old relationships but that's not a good idea. Take it for what it is, this date has much to offer that your old relationships didn't and you can't nitpick about such details. For the sake of your new relationship you should move on and not think about such stuff but sometimes people do tend to reminisce about the past (usually the happy times they had with their ex).

The first date is sometimes very difficult out of a serious relationship because you have been in a relationship for so long and feel as though you don't know what it takes to date anymore. But you have to relax and just let it flow. The more comfortable you are about moving on the more fun you'll have on your date and the more you'll be able to appreciate this new person.

OK, date thing first. go to a dinner something casual- so she doesnt feel over or under dressed. maybe like a small italian place, then maybe if you have them were you live, a paramod- or even a waterfront/boardwalk-where you can talk and just get to know each other better. the view helps with the converstation starter too-incause you get tounge tied you can talk about the water-or what ever else ur looking at.

about the kiss-make sure the mood calls for it, try to get in touch with what her body langage is telling you:

Virus Date & Time?

The other day I seen that my date was off by two years, its shows june 7th 2005. I can change that on my computers desktop okay and it stays like that until you shut down/restart the computer. I went into the CMOS and the date and time was two years behind there. So I changed the the time and date there, saved and exited. When the computer restarted the time was still two years off in both areas. I can not get them to stay at the correct date. I have ran AVG Virus, AVG Spyware, Spybot S%26amp;D, and Ad-Ware 2007. None of them have deticated a problem, but I know better!

The battery for you BIOS is probably going bad. Replace the battery on your mother board. The other problem could be that you have a bad BIOS chip but I thinking it is the battery.
Reply:I've got the same problem. I'ts definitely not the CMOS battery. An empty CMOS battery would reset the date to 1970, but it would not change the date by exactely 2 years.

In the meantime I've got some more severe problems like unable to start the explorer etc. Report It

I went on a date with someone last night.. It was the best night ever! He indeed treated me like queen.. ! We went to a royal dinner, dessert and later on a club. I am a bit reserved. but i think he likes my chirpy talk and that I listened to him intently of all his stories. my only dilemma is, later on in the club he started kissing me. Ok guys or girls, I want to get started back in the dating world, and well I just met this girl the other day and she gave me her number w/o even asking, so she does show interest... and well any ways, I want to ask her out on a date for this Friday or Saturday night. I was planning on calling her up tonight and just casually seeing whats up, and then throwing out there "well hey this friday or saturday im gonna be goin up to miller time to shoot some pool, i was wonderin if you would want to come aswell?" something like that.... Seeing how she is more of a rock music girl, and seeing how at the pool hall they play alot of rock music, and I'm pretty decent at pool. Would this be a good Idea, I think it is myself, but I was just wondering what other people would suggest? Keep in mind I haven't dated in a while and haven't dated that much before ne how. Sounds like a good plan. You already have an idea of what to do (never ask a girl to make the plans, it's a turn off) and know that it has a good chance to get her interest. I would probably commit to one specific day (i.e. "I'm going Saturday" or "I'm going Friday"). Make it sound like you have a life and your busy having fun and your schedule is too busy to keep two days open.

If she wants to go for it, great. If not, her loss. In case she declines to go, still go and play pool so you can tell her how much fun you had (i.e. fun she missed) when she asks you about it next week.

Pretty straight forward question, I feel like I could have chemistry with a friend of mine so I asked her out and she said yes. I was a perfect gentleman and she thought I was sweet but neither of us felt a spark and at the end I asked her straight out what her feelings were. She said she didn't have time to date right now.

I usually take that to mean (and when I say it to girls it does mean) "I'm sorry but I just don't want to date you, but I want to let you down easy."

But In her case it might actually be true, she is still in love with a guy but their relationship is apart since he has entered a career far away with no chance of returning for a decade and she is really busy with medical school. From the moment I picked her up I definitely got the feeling she didn't want this to be a date, so she kept her guard up all night. That makes me think she meant exactly what she said... she really doesn't have time to date right now. If that's so do I have a second chance someday?

My fiance and i are trying to finalize the wedding date. Since i am still planning on doing some classes we have decided to have the wedding during winter break. After looking at the dates of when school end/starts for winter break, the dates are December 15 or December 29 of 2007. Do you think that those dates are too close to christmas and i should avoid those days?? we dont want to wait until June to get married.

I am a man. Speaking for men in general, try to get married as close to a MAJOR holiday as possible. At least that way your intended has a CHANCE of remembering your anniversary. The 29th would be great!! Of course you might still have to drop subtle hints (maybe not so subtle ones too). I am sorry that we males of the species were deprived of the "significant dates memory" gene.

In all seroiusness, pick the date that works best for YOU and God bless you both, happiness and long life!
Reply:If you want to have good gifts then make it before the 20th. because people go out of town on the weekend before christmas and they will be just gone. I think things will be booked very quickly because it will not be only your wedding going on..but the Christmas get togethers so hotels, halls, cars, everything will go very soon. People have a great time at New Year's Eve weddings. First, they'll stay up all night partying with you. Second, you give everyone a great party to go to. Third, if you have the reception in a hotel, then everyone will have a place to crash after getting drunk at your wedding.

Most people aren't going to say anything about the date you pick, they will just be happy to be there and see the two of you get married!! So, do what makes you happy and if that means getting married in december right before or after christmas do it!!

Reply:I think those days are sooo great, and so easy to plan for. I wanted a winter wedding....but then decided against it for personal reasons. (We didnt want to wait till 2007), because we got engaged in May 2006! Not a long time to plan!! Anyways, the Christmas colors would be absolutely beautiful for a wedding.... and like i said, its really easy to plan for, because you can find alot of red and greens for weddings!!! :)

Then again everyone is broke after the holidays, so wedding presents might be a little skimpy (although that will probably be made up for in the costs you will cut on vendors in having a winter wedding)

But our reason of picking this date was because I also go to school and I'll be out. Do what you think is best for you, it's your wedding!!! And do not forget that!
Reply:Well...it all depends. If you are concerned about gifts, then don't have it on either of those dates. If you are concerned about college friends not being able to attend bc they are going home, don't have it on either of those dates.

Otherwise, go for it! If you are doing an open bar, do it on December 29th and plenty of people should come. They can always hit clubs and parties after...If no open bar, some people probably won't come.

I have a date scheduled for this monday. We are having a "get to know you" date at a bar and meeting under the premise of watching the Eagles game. Normally I would bring along a carnation to a first date, but I am not sure what to do in this case; I am not quite sure about bringing a flower to a bar. I mean if it ends up that I am picking her up it is without a question that she will get one, but if we are meeting at the bar should I do the flower? It's bothering me. Why is he being so cheap? I have been through several dating situations over the years, and this was never an issue. The guy always genuinely offered to pay. I am 100% sure he is interested in seeing me now, and in the future (he eagerly sets up all the dates) and he even mentioned that he is exclusively dating me since he doesn't date more than 1 at any time. Should I bring this up to him, or keep quiet and play along? I hv no problem paying my share, but....I just feel he should genuinely offer to confidantly pay for us both atleast one time? I'd hate to spoil something good because of this issue. How should I put it across to him in a nice way? Your thoughts? I am feeling bitter and a bit resentful with this strange selfish behavior.

I do know that I took a hand full of aspirin and kept drinking Stolichnaya - neat - hoping I would slip into a coma. That just gave me a blinding headache - which is how I got out of it.

My co-worker and I decided to go out. She asked her boyfriend to bring a friend - she didn't know it was Mr. Pop-Lock. I was not amused but I eventually forgave her.... Now all I have to do is one of them dance moves and we can't even work for the rest of the day from laughing.

Ok so the wedding date that me and my fiance picked was July 23, 2008 because it would be 7~23~08. We thought it would be nice because by birthday lands on a 23rd and his on a 7th and its like combining the two days to make our wedding day. My fiances grandfather died i and he thought on July 22nd which i thought was cutting it close but we could deal with it, and then i found out that the anniversary of his death is actually on July 23. would it be rude/wrong if we kept the date? My fiance said he would be fine, but what about his grandmother? Should we keep the date or think of anohter date?

I think it should be okay to keep the date, but just to make sure nobody's feelings are hurt, ask your fiance's grandmother and anyone else that you are concerned about. It is really wonderful of you to be so considerate of other people's feelings.
Reply:Ask his grandmother and parents. Make sure there will be no hurt feelings, if so then you should push it elsewhere. If not I would do a thing on the programs, and do a thing for those who couldn't be here today, we remember (grandpas name) who may not be here in person but in spirit.

Reply:First of all, I love your date because of the reasoning behind it. I agree with the others by asking the grandmother and making her feel special on that day. Secondly, I would suggest using a rose to recognize him on your wedding day. You can write this in your program and have the minister make a comment during the ceremony. We did this for all of our deceased grandparents including a grandfather who past away one month beforehand. It will honor his grandfather as well as give the grandmother happy memories on the anniversary as well as it will surround her with family on a day that normally would be difficult for her.

No, please change your date. Plus, July 23, 2008 is on a Wednesday. Do you really want to get married on Wednesday? I suggest you to move the date at least 2 months away from the anniversary. I know that you are trying to make the wedding date more special by combining your birth date and his. But getting married is already a special occasion. What's more special? I do think that having your wedding on that day would help remember his grandfather in a good way and it would be a celebration of life not death.

Due date today! hurting? help!?

Okay, Today is my due date. My whole body has been hurting all day. For the past 5 hours I have had contractions 3-4 minutes apart. They are really strong but not in my pelvic area. Every now and then during a contraction ill get a sharp pain in my lower abdomen but all my contraction pains are in my back. It hurts really bad. right above my tailbone. and i also have alot of pressure in the front, but it just doesnt hurt up there, only in the back. If I went to the hospital do you think they would send me home since its my due date or would they induce me?

If your contractions are 3-4 min apart you need to get to the hospital! A lot of women only have back labor which is what is sounds like is happening with you... Call someone to take you to the Hospital immediately if you don't have anyone there or can't get anyone to take you call for an abulance... Oh and Congratulations on your new little one!

If you go in they could send you home. start timing the length of the contraction not the time between. this will help to dtermine which stage of labor you are actually in. good luck hopefully everything will come along quickly for you today.

sounds to me like you are in labor, why dont you call your OB and ask if you should go in. In the mean time walk walk walk, up and down stairs if ya can, and have some sex, that always seems to help move things along

I have had many boyfriends but all started in highschool where dating is different. i am in university now and i had a first date with a guy on saturday the 9th. the date went well and he even extended it by asking me back for a movie. we kissed multiple times and i felt it ended on a good note. how long does it normally take for the guy to call to make the second date? i know we both had papers to write yesterday so it was no surprise to me that there was no phone call then. I am just wondering how long i should wait before i can consider it a failed attempt.

Isn't there like a 2-3 day rule thing for guys? That way he doesn't sound desperate. I think that you should wait the 2-3 days. If he doesn't call by friday (an extra two days just in case something came up for him), then you should be concerned.

My Due Date?

Ok here is my story. The first day of my last period was June 16th 2007. Well I found out i was pregnant on July 20th. So when I found out I went online and did one of those due date calculator things. It gave me a due date of March 22, 2008. So then once I go to the doctors and get my first ultrasound, the doctors give me a due date of April 1st. When I went to get my anatomy scan at 18 weeks, the ultrasound tech gave me a due date of March 27th. I could understand the difference between the April 1st and March 27th since thats only like 5 days. but why would 40 weeks from my last pregnancy,march 22nd, and my due date from the doctors, april 1st, be off my like two weeks? just curious.

My Due Date?
If you used your last period to estimate your due date on a calculator then it is easy for that estimate to be off. When using your last period, those calculators assume that you ovulated 14 days after the first day of your LMP (last menstrual period). Some women do ovulate on the 14th day, but it can vary widely from only a few days to months if the period is really irregular. The only way to be sure of a due date is to know what day you ovulated by tracking your basal body tempurature (BBT). Look it up at babycenter or pregnancy.org or something. The ultrasound can give you a better estimate of exact fetal age, but it's better to have done very early as that is when the fetus changes most. At 18 weeks a fetus just looks like a small baby and the tech is estimating based on size.

i had my last period in 12th November07 and i thought i would be due around 19th August07 i was close but my son actually due date was 20th August because of when i conceived

Reply:Your calculations are probably a little off. A lot of times docs will go by ultra sounds to determine a due date, not just date of last period. Congrats!

Reply:It is very common to be off by 2 weeks. Due dates (as I'm sure you already understand) are just estimates. That's why you're not considered "overdue" until 42 weeks and not premature at 38 weeks.
Reply:when doctors measure you and do ultrasounds, they aren't completely accurate. it gives them an idea of where you are in your pregnancy. Sometimes, they assume you got pregnant earlier than you thought.

if you have a regular period, i would use your last menstrual period date and count forward from that. Also, ask the doctor "what is my due date??"

Throughout my pregnancy, I have measured bigger compared to my last menstrual period due date, but the most accurate is from the last menstruation. Especially, if you have a normal period. If you don't, then that's another story.
Reply:You could have implanted late. When the sprem meets the egg it travels down and then implants into the uterine wall. This time can be short or longer. I would go by the first ultrasound that you had and assume your due date is 4/1. Mine babies were all born closer to the due date I got from early ultrasounds than any other duedates.

Reply:The doctor and the ultrasound tech are estimating the delivery date by the measure of the baby. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the date. Most women do not deliver on their date anyway. The average baby is delivered at 41 weeks according to a recent Harvard study-- not 40 weeks, as previously believed. Going by the traditional 40 weeks from last period method, March 22nd would be your correct EDD. However, if your doctor is saying April 1st-- go with that one. That means you will be given more time to have the baby without pressure of going to the hospital to be induced--- which trust me, you do not want.

Reply:they are calculating that by messuring the baby..the first one is always the most acurate..becuase babies grow at different speeds..or everyones kid would weigh the same at birth...i had 3 different dates too but they told me to go by the 1st one..my last ultrasound was 2 weeks off basically she explained to me my baby is the size of one due 2 weeks before my due date..but the average baby is anywhere from 6-8 lbs..mine were above that always..its just an estimated messurement..go by the first one!

Hi, In my one of the table where i have DateTime column formatted like (2007-07-21 00:00:08.893).

The problem is when i try to retreve data by ''

SELECT * from table where Rdate = getdate()-1''. It will give me results even we have rows for all the days i want. Should i have to Convert date to get date or anything else !!.

Anyidea !!

Actually i am trying to create a Store Proc which will run every Week and delete the records from the table older then 10 days.For this i choosse the date Time column..But when i simply use the Select or Delete

command it returns with 0 row.

You did not say which flavor of SQL you are using so this idea may not work for you.

Assuming you are using SQL Server, you may have to strip the time component from your date-time values before doing your comparisons because

"getdate() -1" subtracts one day from the current date %26amp; time but does not change the time-of-day portion so you only find matches where the time-stamp portion matches exactly.

You probably want to remove the time portion of the date-times before comparing. Look into using the CONVERT function.

SELECT * from table where Rdate %26lt; cast (convert(varchar,GETDATE() -10,101)) as datetime;

NOTE: The "101" is a format code that you may have to change based on the format that getdate() provides.

The double date?

So recently i went on this double date, it was with my friend and his girlfriend and his girlfriends friend. We all planned to watch a movie and hang out later and stuff, so anyway the date overall wasn't that great, constant bickering between my friend and his girl, my date barely spoke to me, she rather wanted to talk with the others, i felt left out and it was excruciatingly akward, i tried to make small talk but by then my confidence self-esteem shot out, it was destined to be a bomb not to mention the movie as well. And then then the final blow came when we were supposed to hang at my friends place and she takes off, leaving me sidelined at my friends place whilst they're making out in the other room. Shitty. So yeah, i think i'm going to set these "double dates" aside for awhile. Have any of you had a bad expierence being in a double date? I say screw it, i'm just going to buy my girlfriends from now on. juuust kidding.

I went out with a guy from my rescue squad the other night. During the date, he was very sweet, but after I found out his age I couldn't get into the date. (he's older than me.) He suggested twice during the night that we go into his apartment. I turned him down. The date ended in his apartment parking lot (that's where I met him to go out)....where he french kissed me(he was really getting into it...but I finally pulled away). And then proceeded to kiss me twice more. I'm really skeeved out. He's a nice guy and an attorney , and I don't want to go out with him again. And since I work with him every now and again I need to keep things good between us. I need to keep some level of a professional relationship. He invited me via text message to the date. so my first date was pretty bad...not horrible though. I don't knwo if it was first date jitters or what but I pretty much presented myself as an indecisive person who wasn't taking control of the date lol... Before the date..we were hitting it off pretty well and I could tell that she liked me as more than friend. Now after the date, I'm not sure how she feels.

I am not very experienced with dates, but this guy, that go to the same university as i do, and I seem interested in each other. So I asked him out today and we had a coffee and then a dinner. We had about five and a half hours together. The conversation started with the weather, then some personal interest stuff, some politics and some fun things like hobies. I was a bit more excited before the date,but after it, I feel like he is more of a friend/brother than anything else. This was the first time I had a one on one conversation with him. So far I have met him 5 times but with presence of other friends. My current feelings are worrying me. Is it normal? What should I be feeling after the date if I want to be a potential girlfriend? Why is this happening while I was expecting increased emotions for him after the date?

Ive went on a date with this girl once and she didnt seem interested in me such as the typical affection. For example crossed her arms when we walked together. Mom my told me I can't date until my birthday which is this summer. About a week after a guy who I like asked me out. I told him I couldn't date until my birthday and he said ok He would wait. The problem is I can't hang out with this guy that much now because my mom calls everything a date. If I want to go over to his house it a date because we'll be together. I haven't told her about him asking me out because I'm afried she might not let me see him at all, But she also may allow me to date before my birthday. Should I tell her and hope for the best or wait and tell her in a few months? Also any ideas how I can see him without it being a date.

Date does not display on cell phone screen?

Please help! I had my raz v3 magenta from T-mobile for a month or so but this phone doesn't display date, just display time only. If I want to know the date, I have to go through Setting,Tools and then Datebook to see, that's so annoying. But last year, I had exactly same phone, which was raz v3 magenta and also from T-mobile but had date display. I noticed that my old one had blue color on homescreen, my new one has gray color on homescreen ( which I really like). So, my question is does anyone know how to set a date display on my cell phone screen when I open the flip. Of course I called T-mobile and they sent me to Motorolar, well, none of them could not help me with this. I am so disappointed for this new phone version. Why even it worst than the one last year. Please help. Thanks.

The new Raz v3 from T-mobile don't display the time. I have the old Razr v3 and my sister has the new V3. I called T-mobile and asked them why it don't display the date and they said that the setup on the phone was changed and it will not display the date anymore on the screen you have to go into your datebook to view the date.. That is the only thing on the new setup that sucks. but other wise great phone..

is there a difference between "best when used by" and "expiration" dates? i'm very picky when it comes to expiration dates, but i have a squeeze bottle of mayo that hadn't been opened yet with a best by date of FEB 07. so i opened it, and it looked perfectly fine...smelled it, smelled perfectly fine....tasted it, tasted just like normal....so i used it. so, does the best by date simply mean that the product is at its best by that date? or is a differently worded expiration date?? 10 points to most valid answer :)

"Best when used by" is a VOLUNTARY date, placed upon the product, to help vendors keep rotated stock at retailers. It allows not only the vendors, but also the public, to know if a retailer is rotating their stock, and it promotes the practice of removing "older" stock from the shelves. Keeping "fresh" product on the shelves is more profitable for the vendor/manufacturer.

"Expiration date" is a MANDATORY date set by the government, when a retailer MUST remove the product from their shelves. If you check, for example, a can of soup.. you will notice that it may have an "Expiration date" of a year or more to go.

Some products of course, have a shorter shelf life than others. Not all products have a 'mandatory' date set by the government. The FDA guidelines for food safety, and expiration dates that they set, are determined by 'optimum' storage conditions, and how long the food should be safe to consume. The expiration date does NOT take into account if the food has been stored in high temperatures, moisture, etc.

Regardless of what the date on the product says, there are some things you need to look for when preparing to use a food product:

The Boy Scouts have a Food Drive, each year. Our local food pantry receives some of this donated food, when it is available. SADLY -- I see many cases where someone has donated OPENED food containers, and food that is LONG past its mandatory expiration date. A food pantry CANNOT pass along opened containers -- for the same reason you wouldn't buy one off the shelf -- there is the risk it has been tampered with, or has gone bad, because it was opened. A food pantry CANNOT pass along food that has expired. It MUST be destroyed in such a way, that it CANNOT be eaten. The USDA is very strict about HOW food can be stored, WHAT can be distributed, and its condition and expiration dates. When we recieve product that is damaged or out of date, we MUST destroy it... passing along this trash, to and through the Boy Scouts, Second Harvest, etc... is just a waste of resources that could have been used to deliver GOOD food to people who need it.

Last year, I had to destroy approximately 18% of all the food we recieved from the Boy Scout Food Drive because it failed to meet the USDA guidelines for what we can distribute. Ive seen Campbell's soup cans that had expiration dates almost 10 years old... some of these cans even looked good... but that expiration date may have saved someone from a bad case of food poisoning, a family, or children perhaps, that may not have been in a position to protect themselves.

I would just like to take this opportunity to ask people to think about it, when they find that Boy Scout bag at their door, or mailbox. PLEASE, DONATE NEW food. Do NOT simply use that bag as a means of cleaning out your unusable items. Thank You.
Reply:i don't think there's any harm, especially if you've just opened it. a lot of times the dates just mean "sell by", so the stores don't leave it on their shelves forever. i actually just looked at my mayo and it just had the sell by date on it, not an expiration or best by date. just as long as you don't keep it forever after you've opened it!!

1. I would date someone of a different religion only if they were allowed to date and if they would date me based on my religion. And ofcourse only if i truly liked the person. I'm not a judgemental person so religion wouldnt really be a big factor when dating someone.

2. I would date someone of a different race because i want to experience what it would be like to date someone out of my race. Who knows, maybe the guy i end up marrying is someone not in my race.

i was wondering when we buy bread, there will be a tag with the best before date..what happens if we still eat the bread let say 2-3days after the 'best before' date?actually what does the best before date means?does it mean we have to eat the bread before the date to get the best taste of the bread or it will expire after dat date eventhough there is no fungus..or those green things on the bread?

Who about eating it until the day that it's not as fresh as it was(you know when it's not as soft to the touch) or mold starts growing on it... but if your so concerned about your bread going bad, maybe you just want to keep it in the freezer and only take out what you need for yourself for bread or toast...
Reply:Back in the 1960s bread was delivered to the grocery stores fresh each day. Bread left over from the previous day was placed on the "Day Old" shelf and labeled that way.

Now with so many artificial ingredients the only thing that happens after the expiration date is that the bread may be a bit drier than it was designed to be.

Reply:I recently ended a relationship with someone whose main problem was not talking enough. I dated him for six months because he was willing to try to talk more. And that's what counted to me. When you get deeper into the relationship, you may be able to get him to open up a bit. But now, he probably thinks that it isn't awkward or anything if he's just the kind of guy that doesn't talk (like my old boyfriend).

However... my friend told me that if you find the right guy for you, he'll become more open by himself and he'll WANT to talk to you. Depends on how you feel about the subject. I don't really know. I just ended it a few days ago...

Reply:Your due date means nothing. It's not an exact timetable. Once you deliver, you may be able to count back exactly 40 weeks and figure it out. But this only helps if there were only a few possible dates it could have been that you conceived.

I knew I had gotten pregnant the first on New Years eve, because there were weeks before and after that when I wasn't doing what was required to get pregnant.

So it helps if you already have an idea of when it may have been.

Why do people date only their own race?

I live in one of the most diverse cities in the world -san francisco- and I always see people date their own race. Asians date only asians, white americans date only white americans, mexicans date only mexicans, blacks date only blacks. When I go downtown and walk for hours I see hundreds of couples but I never see a couple made up of 2 people from different races. I never see a white and black dating, I never see a white girl with an asian guy, i never see a mexican girl with a white guy...etc. Why?

Why do people date only their own race?
Well, I think it goes without saying that interacial dating does occur with some frequency, but there definately is a tendency for people to date within their own racial groups. It's probably due to two factors. First, people are raised to value and be attracted to aspects of their own culture and therefor when looking to find a partner, they are more likely to like people that share their values, which is likely someone from a similar racial background. Secondly, people may have a natural, biologically ingrained attraction to people from their own race since they've historically been matched together for thousands and thousands of years.

has anybody been given a due date at a 12 week ultrasound and it matched the date they knew they had concieved?

i just want to know how accurate the dating scans are and are they really close to the real date of conception.

I think they are pretty accurate because with my first pregnancy it was accurate to the dot. Its amazing how they can be so accurate.

Reply:the date i was told i would have conceived with my first pregnancy i am sure was 9 days off. all my babies were planned so i kept records and all the others (3) were within the week.
Reply:usually the dates given are pretty accurate, but 70% of the babies are not born on their actual due date, it is either ealier or later (if you are delivering for the first time it´s more likely later)
Reply:They measure the baby and get the result that way. The scan will give you the most accurate due date rather than the date you think you concieved.

Imagine you're having a date with the one girl you've always liked and you feel is really attractive and you finally got the guts to ask her out and she said yes. There you are sitting on your date, she's looking really hot, and the conversation is flowing perfectly, she's laughing she's flirting and you're really enjoying yourself thinkin nothing can go wrong. When your parents walk into the same restaurant and some how get the table right next to you. they say hi to your date and introduce themselves. Start giving your suggestions as to what to order and start talking to themselves out loud saying "she's really beautiful he finally picked a winner compared to his last few ex's". Your parents then start talking to your date asking "do you go to college, are you and my son having fun". pretty much ruin your date. After you finish eating you say bye to your parents and on the ride home you don't know what to say to your date because you're embarrised by your parents. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

Ultrasound/Due Date question...?

Okay, I had an ultrasound last week and everything on my baby measured 31+wks except for his femur. His femur only measured just over 28wks. When I went in for this ultrasound I was 30wks exactly. After combining all of the week estimates it changed my due date from June 20 to June 24, making me at the time only 29wks and 3days. If she the tech had eliminated the femur estimate it would have changed my due date to around sometime between June 11th and 13th.

Okay, I write all of that to ask this, from anyone's personal experiance did the doctors change your due date based on such drastically different dates? If so, did they make it earlier or later? The tech said she would put a note on her sendings to the doc that mentioned I'm shorter than 5' tall and my hubby is only 5'7". Do you think due to the huge difference in measurements that he will just keep my due date the same?

I have an appt tomorrow but I'm just curious what other people think and have experianced.

With all my ultrasounds except the last one i had i was measuring right on cue, at my 32 week scan my baby measured 34 weeks and 1 day.. the ultrsound tech said my dates were wrong (which i agree as i was using a fertility monitor and i know when my last period was and when i ovulated) however both my GP and OBGYN say i have a LFD (Large for date) baby... he weighed a whopping 5 pounds and 8 ounces... they estimate at term he will be 9 pound and 8 ounces.... OUCH!! They fear he wont fit in my pelvis, which im sure will be fun... so im taking the second date to be 13th May rather then the 27th, however they wont stop the labor after 6th of may.... NOT LONG NOW!!!
Reply:My due date last year fluctuated a couple of times with 4 different ultrasounds and 3 different dates. I was due on Nov. 17th, Nov. 24th, Nov. 18th and then Nov. 17th again. I had my baby on Nov. 9th. So that goes to show how accurate the ultrasounds are. They can be right on sometimes, but usually will fluctuate a couple of days. My doctor and the ultrasound tech said this was normal. Don't worry. Ask your doctor if you are really concerned about it. That's what the doc it for.
Reply:I had my due date changed by a month. They had gone from my last period, but the ultrasound showed that I was a month father along than they had originally thought. An ultrasound is usually the most acurate way to come up with a due date, but they are all estimates. A hospital will consider you technically full term at 37 weeks, so if the due date only changes by a week or so, its not a big deal.
Reply:You could deliver two weeks before or after your given due date. it is only an estimated guess and nobody knows for sure when a baby will arrive. it comes when he or she is ready.
Reply:They may keep it the same since you both are fairly short. But they changed my due date 3 times with my son and 2x with my daughter and neither came near the dates they gave me.

Reply:i was ttc for 9 mos. i know the EXACT day i ovulated cause i can feel ovulation. my last period was october 18th. and my ovulation day was october 31st. i tested on november 13th (3 days before my period was due) and they were all positive. it gave me a due date of july 24th.

when i went to my first visit at 8 wks 5 days they did the ultrasound and the baby was measuring at 8 weeks 0 days. if that was true, i ovulated less than 5 days before i tested and hcg does not show in urine for at least 10 days..... when i went to the big ultrasound the measurement gave me a new date of july 30th which would mean i am a week behind where i think i was....

i go by the first day of my last period and the day i ovulated because i believe it to be the "most" accurate seeing how i was charting, and taking ovulation strips and i felt my self ovulate.... and tested positive at 12dpo.....

they say that us can be up to 2 weeks off in either direction becuse babies can not be measured to an exact science since some babies are bigger and some smaller at the exact same gestation....

you could do an average if you would like... or just go with the due date you feel most comfortable with!!!
Reply:babies don't always grow at the same rate we may think. Your baby might be a little farther behind on growing. It's normal and prefectlly fine. Don't worry. They do change due dates. I use to work at a Pregnancy Crisis Center and saw dates change often. If i were you i wouldn't worry. PLUS just cuz you are due that day doesn't mean the baby will be BORN that day. My sister was born 3 weeks earlier the due date while was brother was born over a month LATE. The baby will come when it is ready to come. Don't worry about changing due dates.

Girl + Scary Movie = Girl cuddling up to the guy next to her looking for comfort ;-) Act casual, like treat her with respect - offer to but her popcorn and/or drink. Let her take the arm rest and you rest yours on her chair. No one knows how to kiss until they first do it - i promise it will come naturally it isn't something you can learn. Also, if you have a third date, then the previous two must have been a success, so where similair clothes. Show her a compliment on first seein her, somthing subtle like, 'your hair looks nice' sounds obvious but she'll appreciate it.

I am recently divorced and I just went on an amazing first date with a guy. The chemistry was definitely there, after the date, he told me he had a great time and would love to do it again. He called for a few days and then started making some sexual referennces. Sex is okay to talk about, but I had only known the guy about 2 weeks before deciding to go on a date. I let him know I felt it was disrespectful and now he still talks to me via emails and just says he is confused because it was such a great first date. The guy may have been a little aggressive about the sex stuff, which may have been somewhat accidental on his part. I recently starting hanging out with a girl I knew 2 years ago. In the short few weeks we starting hanging out again we've become close. She hugs me every time she sees me and when I leave. What is so bad about the "Three Date Rule"?

To recap, the third date rule is as follows: If sex with a person one has been dating does not happen on or before the third date, do not pursue any further such dates.

Lately, I've heard many people flame the third date rule as arbitrary, hard to define, and not applicable to all situations.

I still think it is very important, though, for several reasons. I strongly believe that, if nothing is happening by the third date:

-The odds of anything happening in the future are extraordinarily low.

-The odds that the two people are sexually compatible are extraordinarily low.

-The odds that someone is playing games are high.

-The odds that you are dating a religious wackjob are high.

-The odds that you are dating someone twisted enough to correlate their value as a person with their chastity are high.

-And the odds that you are missing out on the opportunity to date new people with whom you might really, truly be compatible are high.

So what's wrong with three dates?

There are these two guys who i like, but I don't know who I should chose. Aaron is funny and sweet, but he likes to date at a slow pace while Justin is affectionate and sexual, he'll show affection in public. And as I wrote before, Aaron doesn't do that. He dates at a slow speed and won't even kiss a girl for at least after 2 weeks of dating which really bothers me a lot because I kiss a guy after 2 or three days of dating. But Dustin can sometimes really be too sexual for even me. Aaron is very sensitive and I like that in a guy. He isn't afraid to show his true feelings. I have seen Dustin cry and with Aaron he'll walk away. Sometimes Aaron can be way to sensitive because he'll get way too protective when I hug a guy friend or kiss them on the cheek. But Dustin is very cool with it. He knows I wouldn't cheat and that they are just good friends with me. Aaron believes everything he is told. Sorry, I have to be honest. I couldn't read the whole thing. It's very long and drawn out. However, I do think you should choose the one that respects your personal limitations and that does not break up with you because you kissed them. That sounds like odd behavior to me.

In short, Dustin sounds possessive and like he would stalk you if you left him after dating for a while. Trust me, you will eventually get tired of his jealous ways because it will stop being cute. He might have emotional issues.

Aaron sounds more like a guy you want to hang out with, but not date.

So, the answer is, neither. But, something tells me that deep down at the very core of your being, you already know this. Either way, you must do what you feel is best for you.

When living beings/objects are tested with carbon dating they are found to be much older by carbon dating than their known age. (ie. living clam shells dated at 200,000 years old) how then can it be trused to millions of years to date the dinosaurs?

Usually it's an isotope of uranium or rubidium that's used to date something that is millions of years old. These elements have much longer half-lives than C-14 and take much longer to decay. Often more than one element is used to date an artifact for certainty. In other words, the object will be dated using uranium, then with strontium, and the results checked against each other.

Radiocarbon dating is not accurate for very recent artifacts and anything older than 60,000 years. So, whatever this story is about living clam shells being misdated, it's not surprising nor does it disprove radiometric dating. Variation in carbon levels make it difficult to accurately date a contemporary object. Also, people sometimes state that all radiocarbon dating is wrong because of a few errors, this is misleading since it is very easy to contaminate objects with recent carbon and skew the results.

Hi, I'm in the process of clearing out my medicine cabinet and I noitced an older perscription bottle for Tylenol 2 with a few pills inside. I'm in Canada and the bottom right of the label has a DIN # followed by a date (which may be the date I got it or the date of expiry). Should I throw this out or is it still good? The date is June 2005.

Bars and pubs in India require you to come with a date, so they are not useful for finding dates. IN dance classes, the girls come with their coworker for dance, making the dance class useless for finding date as well. How on earth can I find a date?

From what I have read from the internet, SP refers to the country of production of that bag ie. France -- (btw, the zipper's tongue is embossed with 'made in france' - so the country code matches the production country). 0037 refers to production date of the bag ie. Mar 2007.

I am a college student, and I met this girl at a science lab class which takes like 2 hours. We only meet at this class once a week.

Im a 31 year old male, and i have been single all my life. I was very shy as a child, and was picked on in school. I always dreamed of meeting the right person to make my life complete, but im afraid to put myself out there. To be a successful dater, i think you need to be confident. Sometimes I download a software for trial, and when the trial is about to expire, I change the date of my system to some past date, and hence making the software assume that it's still valid.

It creates a few problems for me, because date and time of my system is not set correctly, like in my archive of yahoo messenger messages, messages are tagged the wrong date/time etc..

Any work around?

Reply:Hi, if you are restoring your computer to a past date. then you will always have problems

after you restore to a different date. you need to do a defragment and a diskclean. along with a virusscan.
Reply:A much easier solution is to use a virtual machine (free from microsoft). Create a machine with all the stuff you normally want then save the virtual harddrive as a zip file Once your trial expires, delete the virtual machine's drive and copy the saved one into place. Reinstall your trial again and you get another free trial. It's also good for checking out any software that might contain a virus or trojan since everything stays inside the virtual machine.
Reply:uninstall the application and then edit all of the registry keys for that software out of your registry. If you don't know how to do this, learn from someone who does. This isn't something you want to try without knowing what to do. And, running the uninstall utility or removing it with Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel will not take out all the registry keys.

My mom makes these date bars every year, and somehow lost the recipe. She said it was in a 2000 issue of Good Housekeeping, in an issue about bake sales or a section about bake sales, something like that. She said they weren't called date bars, but the main ingredient is dates, and the best way to describe them is date bars. I know it's a longshot, but if anyone has the recipe, it would be the best Christmas present ever! And it would help bring peace to my house :)

Ingredients:

2 eggs

1 cup light brown sugar, pack in cup

3/4 cup sifted flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup dates, cut fine

1 cup nut meats, cut

1 teaspoon vanilla

few grains salt

Directions:

Beat eggs, stir in sugar. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Blend all ingredients. Pour into greased 9-inch square pan lined with heavy paper and oiled. Bake about 35 minutes in moderate oven. When cool remove paper. Cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In 1 cup measuring cup, toast almonds in microwave, stir occasionally until done. Set aside. In mixing bowl, beat margarine with electric mixer on medium- high speed for 30 seconds. In same bowl, add flour, brown sugar, splash of orange flavored liqueur, orange juice, egg, baking powder and baking soda. Beat until thoroughly mixed. Beat in cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in toasted almonds and dates. Pour batter into an ungreased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2" baking dish. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into bars. Approximately 27 minutes.

Hi, I’m a guy who’s 25 years old still a virgin and asexual. For those of you who don’t know what an asexual is, it’s someone who has, never had, or desired the need to have sex. The thing is, although I’m happy with the no sex lifestyle I always wonder what kind of woman is going to date a guy like me? How do I go about telling women that I date, that I’m asexual? How are they likely going to react to this news? It’s just, I really don’t want to live a life alone because I’m asexual. For this reason it has made it difficult to take a chance of dating women, to find out if they would be ok in being with an asexual. I am going to be dating a girl who's had a crush on me for 2 years. I just got out of a 2.5 year relationship 7 weeks ago, but I feel am ready to start dating again, just not for a relationship quite yet. I told her this and she said that was fine, she wants to take it slow since we're both going to the same college in 7 weeks, so we both want to see friends and stuff. We got a date in a week from now. i'm nervous, because this is the first time i'm seeing her when she knows i like her. i told her on the phone a week ago, and shes in NJ visiting family. I'm scared it's gonna be odd since we've been friends for 2 years, and now feelings are mutual. Any advice on how to keep things at a slow pace for awhile and make a good transition from friends to dating?

I think you are over thinking it, when in reality, you don't have any facts to think on. She likes you, you like her, you know each other for two years and haven't gotten sick of each other. What is there to worry about. How different is it going to get, OK you will get physical, but does that really change things that much?

What is "DATE" means?
Date does not mean relationship. I don't know why so many people think that. You can date more than one person at a time. There's nothing wrong with that as long as you aren't in a relationship. All a date means is you went out with someone once. If you want another date or to be exclusive then you go from there but a date is just a date. There is no commitment.

2) Yes, some moms are hard to deal with - have to look at the situation - maybe she's on of them.

3) Lived with parents- yes, at least he's not living with a girlfriend and dating me.

4) Yes - but, depends upon the situation - if all his money is going to child support or something - its okay - I can help him out.

It totally depends on the GUY!!! if he is sweet and loving - and he is head over heals in love with me..as I am him - It can work..

we just wouldn't go on date nights often!!! he'll eventually learn to pay if he wants to go out.

I would never date an irresponsible man! if he was irresponsible before you got with him, what makes you think he will change for you. If a man doesn't respects his mom and treats her like s**t, more then likely you will get the same treatment later down the road. Why should you have to pay for ALL the events???? Its ok to treat you man at times, but the relationship supposed to be equal 50/50. And to top it off he lives with his parents, that's the worst!! this guy needs to GET UP, GET OUT, AND GET SOMETHING!!!

Need some suggestions for a date on Saturday. Its really cold where I live so nothing outdoors! Recap...1st date, drinks at a pub, 2nd date - nice dinner and drinks, 3rd date - dinner at her house. Any ideas for a 4th date?

I need a date idea!! I have a 4th date with a girl I like this Saturday...?
Dinner at your house, a movie and then a walk in the park or something just do something sweet I'm sure that she'll appreciate anything you do for her.
Reply:if you had dinner at her house on the last, why not dinner at your house this time? otherwise, movies always works.
Reply:Do something fun and playful - maybe darts (my personal fav), pool, bowling anything that involves letting loose and having a couple drinks, then follow it up with movie at your place!

Reply:Dinner and a play. I love plays. you can see a play relatively cheap depending what kind of area you live in. I live in a large metropolitis, and there are several options for weekly plays. Do you have things in common? I went on a date with a Catholic (3rd or 4th date). We went to see Late Night Catechism. I knew it was interactive, funny and alot of adlibbing. It was alot of fun. Do your research of her personality and do your best guessing. Good luck!
